Dr. Yuchin Chang received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Baylor University in 2003 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Delaware in 2006. She has been deeply involved in treating people with trigger points for the entirety of her clinical career. Through her trigger point work as a dry needling specialist, she has expanded her specialties to treating other chronic pain conditions, includnig pelvic pain, fibromyalgia, chronic pain syndrome, and so on.
As a chronic pain and pelvic specialist, Dr. Yuchin Chang has come to appreciate the contributions of multiple components to complex chronic pain and pelvic issues. Using a unique whole-body approach, she considers the contributions of nerves, muscles, joint, internal organs, lymph, biomechanics, and posture to the complex pain syndrome. As a part of the pelvic care she provides, Dr. Chang always enjoys sharing her knowledge on the interplay between different systems and body parts.
Dr. Chang has cultivated her manual skills to be gentle and effective and continues to deepen her understanding of the human body’s systems by frequently attending continuing education courses. She is passionate about helping patients who suffer from chronic pain and pelvic issues, and gets great satisfaction from helping them along their journey of healing.
Dr. Yuchin Chang holds dual Board Certifications in Orthopedics & Women's Health. She is also a certified dry needling specialist. She is a Member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and belongs to both the APTA Section on Women’s Health and the APTA New Jersey Special Interest Group on Women’s Health. She is also a member of International Pelvic Pain Society.
